On October 10, Southern California's premier Scottish festival, The Seaside Highland Games, returned to the Ventura County Fairgrounds for its 22nd year. This family-friendly event transformed the fairgrounds into an immersive Scottish village featuring three live entertainment stages with Celtic rock and folk bands. Visitors enjoyed heavy athletics competitions like the caber toss and hammer throw, as well as judged contests in Highland dancing, bagpiping, and drumming. Clans Munro, Gunn, and Innis Societies of North America hosted information booths for genealogy research. The festival also included a World War II military encampment to educate visitors about history.
