A 36-year-old man died after being fatally stabbed near Westfield shopping centre in Mount Druitt, Sydney, around 9 pm on Friday. Emergency services responded to reports of an assault at Cleeve Close where they found the victim with stab wounds to his torso; he succumbed to his injuries at the scene despite efforts by paramedics and police. A 13-year-old boy was later charged with murder and breach of bail, while a 16-year-old was arrested for accessory after the fact to murder. Police are investigating possible gang involvement but have not confirmed this connection.
