On Monday, a PAC MFI-17 Mushshak training aircraft of the Pakistan Army Aviation crashed near Nawan Killi in Quetta, resulting in the deaths of both pilots on board. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the crash was due to a technical fault. The deceased were identified as Major Husnain Shehzad Humayun, an instructor pilot, and Captain Abdul Samad, a student pilot. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed their condolences to the families of the martyred pilots.
This incident follows previous crashes in June 2023 near Muzaffarabad and September 2022 in Chilas town, both attributed to technical faults, which claimed the lives of all personnel involved.
