During a 19-17 loss to the Jaguars in London, Eagles' running back Will Shipley suffered a partial tear of his plantar fascia and had to exit during the second quarter. Shipley was starting due to Saquon Barkley's hamstring injury. With backup Tank Bigsby already on injured reserve (IR), the team's running back depth is severely depleted. Fourth-stringer Dameon Pierce, alongside Shipley, managed only 20 yards on 16 carries, with Shipley scoring a touchdown before getting injured. The Eagles now have to rely on Pierce and fifth-string Carson Steele. Additionally, the team added four more injuries by Monday: offensive lineman Tyler Steen (shoulder), defensive back Michael Carter II (abdomen), and linebacker Jalyx Hunt (ankle, knee). These mounting injuries are affecting the Eagles' performance, particularly as their defense struggled to keep them in the game despite impressive efforts.
