A 43-year-old woman in Perth, Western Australia, has been charged with endangering the life, health, or safety of another person after allegedly lacing her colleague's curry with snail poison. The incident occurred in February when a 58-year-old woman brought curry to share at work; staff ate it during morning tea without issues. At lunchtime, the victim noticed green granules and experienced numbness on tasting it. She kept the food as evidence and reported it to police who identified the substance as snail pellets containing metaldehyde, a poisonous pesticide. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on November 5; both women were reportedly in a personal relationship.
