Anson Kew, then 17 years old, pleaded guilty at The High Court on Thursday for throwing a corrosive solution at Jiang Wen, a 36-year-old Singaporean tourist visiting Hong Kong on June 9 last year. The attack occurred in Wan Chai when Jiang was getting into her vehicle. Kew, dressed in black and wearing a mask, fled the scene after Jiang screamed in pain from second-degree burns to her face and legs. No reason for targeting Jiang has been provided by Kew.
