A McLaren 720S involved in a fatal crash on September 13 in Irvine, California, which killed driver James Wehr and passenger Lexi Kramer, burst into flames again at a Costa Mesa tow yard weeks later. The car was stored there by the Irvine Police Department after the wreck. Surveillance footage shows sparks appearing before the fire grows, filling the storage garage with thick smoke. No injuries were reported in the second blaze. Investigators suspect that damage to the vehicle's electrical system from the initial crash may have caused it to ignite again while in storage.
