Kendal Daniels, the Atlanta Falcons' rookie linebacker, was injured during Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears in the third quarter and had to be carted off the field on a stretcher. After making a tackle on Bears tight end Colston Loveland, Daniels remained on the ground for several minutes while trainers attended to him. He was strapped to a board and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for further evaluation, where he is reported to be alert with movement in all his extremities. The Falcons stated that Daniels has been ruled out due to a neck injury. Several players from both teams kneeled on the field during the medical attention, showing support for Daniels. Daniels was drafted in the fourth round out of Oklahoma and had started six games this season with 22 tackles before his injury.
