On October 19, 2026, a 15-year-old boy stabbed another student in the back at Thorpe St Andrew School near Norwich. The attacker fled to Woolworths supermarket and was later caught by police. On October 21, he was convicted of attempted murder after a two-week trial at King’s Lynn Crown Court. Jurors deliberated for three hours and 54 minutes before delivering their verdict.
The boy had previously expressed an interest in serial killers and was found to have created disturbing videos featuring notorious murderers like Ed Kemper and Ted Bundy on his phone. He also wrote notes indicating hatred towards women and a desire for admiration and gratification. The attack sparked a lockdown at the school, with armed police involved in the search.
The victim suffered only minor injuries and was later discharged from hospital. The boy will be sentenced on December 18 at King’s Lynn Crown Court.
