Jay-Z has reportedly chosen himself to perform at the Super Bowl LXI halftime show in Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium in February 2027. The decision comes after Roc Nation, Jay-Z's entertainment company, reached an agreement with the NFL in 2019 to decide the halftime performer. Multiple sources tell Puck that Jay-Z beat out other potential performers like Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber for the gig.
Jay-Z, a 56-year-old rap icon, is fresh off a successful tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album 'Reasonable Doubt' and has earned over $42 million from three consecutive nights at Yankee Stadium in July. He will conclude his current four-city tour with back-to-back shows at SoFi Stadium on October 23 and 24, where ticket prices have dropped to under $60 including fees.
While the Super Bowl halftime performance is not officially confirmed by Jay-Z or the NFL, he has yet to address the report publicly. The event will take place on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2027.
