In the recent 2026 BC provincial election, voters elected 93 Members of the Legislative Assembly to serve in the 44th B.C. Parliament. The snap election, called by BC NDP leader David Eby in September, took place just two years after the previous one and a week after municipal elections. Each of the 93 seats represents a provincial riding; for example, Richmond-Steveston, which is currently represented by an MLA who first won office in 2024 with an unspecified percentage of the vote. To form a majority government, a party needs to secure at least 47 seats out of the total 93 available.
