Katie Suarez, a 28-year-old woman, died on November 3 after being declared brain dead following a stabbing incident that occurred while she was jogging along the Shore Parkway Greenway promenade in Bath Beach, Brooklyn, around 8 p.m. on October 27. Police confirmed Suarez had sustained multiple stab wounds to her neck and were investigating it as an unprovoked attack. She was training for the New York City marathon at the time of the incident. Her family said she graduated from Brooklyn College and that no arrests have been made, though investigators are looking for surveillance footage or witnesses who may have seen the attacker near Bay 8 Street and Bay 17 Street between 7:56 p.m. and 8:12 p.m. on the night of the attack.
