Shohei Ohtani is making progress with his swing while on the injured list for the Los Angeles Dodgers, but has yet to face live pitching. Manager Dave Roberts stated that Ohtani's recovery has been productive over the past few days, though he remains uncertain about when Ohtani will return to action. Ohtani was sidelined just before a seven-game road trip with injuries to his right biceps, left leg, and neck. The team clinched the NL West title for the 13th time in 14 years while Ohtani stayed back in Los Angeles to receive treatment and hit off a tee for the first time Tuesday. Ohtani is eligible to return on Wednesday during the Dodgers' final home series against San Diego, but Roberts would like him to get around 10 to 12 at-bats against pitching before returning to the lineup.
