On September 24, a fire broke out at a ground-based Starlink satellite communications station in central Poland. Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski stated that the fire targeted and disabled the power station and generator, cutting off internet access for various institutions, including the Ukrainian military. Although Russia denies involvement, Poland has been on high alert for sabotage since 2022, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. While official responsibility remains unclear, Gawkowski noted that many signs suggest this aligns with Russia’s new doctrine of attack in hybrid warfare.
