Costco plans to open a new store in Vallejo, California in November, despite some skepticism from local commenters who doubt the timeline based on current construction progress. Costco CEO Ron Vachris confirmed this opening during their latest earnings call earlier this week. The company intends to open a total of 33 new stores across the U.S. in the 2027 fiscal year and will spend about $7.5 billion on these locations. Other upcoming openings include Lee’s Summit, Missouri; The Colony, Texas; Amherst, New York; Lawrence, Kansas; South Meridian, Idaho; Chandler, Arizona; Newport News, Virginia; and Franklin, Wisconsin.
