Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jack Bech suffered a broken forearm during a game against the New Orleans Saints at the Caesars Superdome. The injury occurred when Bech collided with Saints safety Justin Reid in the end zone. Bech was returning to New Orleans for the first time since his brother, Tiger, was killed in a terrorist attack on Bourbon Street on New Year’s Day. To honor his brother, Bech wore a shirt that read “LLT” (Live Like Tiger) and orange cleats with black tiger stripes during pregame warmups.
Before the game, Bech expressed to California Post NFL columnist Vincent Bonsignore that he wanted this return trip to "rewrite a wrong" and give New Orleans a positive memory. Following his injury, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that Bech would be placed on the team’s injured reserve list due to the fracture but was expected to return later in the season.
