Brandon Ingram, a key player for the Los Angeles Clippers, will miss the start of the NBA season after undergoing heel surgery that revealed he also has a partially torn Achilles tendon. The injury was not previously disclosed, and while both issues were addressed during the procedure in May, there is currently no timeline for his return. Interim president of basketball operations Trent Redden noted that recovery from a partially torn Achilles typically takes six months less than a fully torn one. Ingram missed two playoff games with the Toronto Raptors, where he had been dealing with heel pain since earlier in the season, and was traded to the Clippers last month.
