On October 6, Ukraine launched a major drone attack involving around 650 drones targeting the Moscow region overnight, according to Russian authorities. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that most of these drones were intercepted far from the city, with 105 being downed as they approached Moscow. The attack killed two people and injured nine others in villages near Moscow, including a warehouse fire. Regional Governor Andrei Vorobyov confirmed one fatality each in Radumlya and Barbybino, adding that seven people were injured and numerous homes and vehicles were damaged. This comes amid escalating long-range strikes by both Ukraine and Russia on infrastructure targets across multiple regions of the country.
