Martin Property Group, based in Londonderry, became one of the UK's biggest car park operators after acquiring NCP from administration. The deal will control more than 100 sites and involves around 145 NCP locations across Britain. PwC administrators noted that this acquisition secured hundreds of jobs and offered creditors the best possible outcome, maintaining town and city centre mobility. Gary Martin, director at Martin Property Group, expressed ambition to build on NCP's heritage and serve communities effectively. The company’s expansion also includes hotel acquisitions such as The Bedford Hotel in Belfast and The Waterfoot in Derry. NCP faced financial difficulties due to long-term leases with property owners and accumulating debt, leading to its collapse in March 2026.
