Corus Entertainment Inc., based in Toronto, has completed a recapitalization transaction first announced last November. As part of the deal, some of Corus’s lenders forgave approximately $500 million in debt in exchange for 99% ownership of a newly created parent corporation that would wholly own Corus and its services. This restructuring allowed Corus to reorganize its debt and appoint a new board of directors, marking significant changes to the company's financial structure and governance.
