Story summary

On October 17, 2026, the Australian women's rugby team, the Wallaroos, defeated Scotland 56-12 in a WXV Global Series match at Accor Stadium in Sydney. The game was part of a historic "quadruple header" event that included matches for both men’s and women’s sevens teams as well as the senior men’s team, the Wallabies. The Wallaroos scored eight tries compared to Scotland's two, with Desiree Miller scoring twice among others like Brittany Merlo and Maya Stewart. Despite the victory, captain Siokapesi Palu Sekona emphasized that there is still room for improvement in their performance. The Wallaroos will face Scotland again on Friday night in Canberra.
