On November 1, Iran warned that a new war with the United States could be longer than previous conflicts. Iranian army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia stated via state television that any future conflict's duration would not be dictated by the American president. This warning comes amid tensions following February’s US-Israeli strikes on Iran which killed the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response to these attacks, Iran launched missiles and drones across the region, involving militant groups backed by Tehran in conflicts in Lebanon and Yemen. Additionally, Iran’s Defence Minister Mehrdad Akhlaghi warned of a "proportionate, decisive, and impactful response" to any further threats against the country.
Iran responded by launching missiles and drones across the region, while the militant groups it backs also entered the fray in Lebanon and Yemen.
